'Drone Killers' Have Entered the RVSN Inventory. The Strategic Missile Troops Have Obtained the Latest Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Means of Destruction.  The complex, which is called upon to defend the Strategic Missile Troops (RVSN) from unmanned aerial vehicle attacks, has completed tests and has begun to arrive in the troops since the beginning of this year, a Ministry of Defence source reported to Izvestiya. The complex is being delivered in two variants: mobile and fixed. The mobile systems cover the Topol-M and Yars strategic missile complexes, and the fixed launchers defend silo-based missiles, including the state-of-the-art hypersonic Avangard.

The new equipment is capable of jamming and intercepting the drones' command and control. The complex consists of a radar, signals reconnaissance (RTR) block, and jamming equipment. The radar is tuned precisely to detect small low-flying targets and is capable of "seeing" unmanned aerial vehicles even at altitude. Using the signals reconnaissance block, the operator can intercept signals, which the UAV exchanges with the command and control post, and use the detected communications channel to get control over the drone. Furthermore, the jammers can distort the drone's navigation equipment and one can simply jam the communications channel, if necessary.

In the mobile configuration, all of the hardware is accommodated onboard a Tigr armoured motor vehicle. In contrast to army armoured transport vehicles and tracked vehicles, the Tigr vehicles possess high speed and manoeuvreability, which permits them to travel both along highways and also under off-road conditions with no problems.
