Intermarine Italian shipyard, a subsidiary of the Immsi S.p.A. industrial group (IMS.MI), has delivered a minesweeper to a leading navy active in the Mediterranean. The vessel is the second unit of a larger order and complies with the highest quality standards. Citing the Twitter account of Fatto in Italia, the ship is the El Kasseh 2 for the Algerian Navy.
According to naval open sources information, Algeria has ordered the first mine countermeasures vessel in late 2014 with an option for a second. The Algerian National Navy has commissioned its first mine countermeasures vessel (MCMV), El-Kasseh 1 (501) into the service on September 30, 2017.
