The Brazilian company Taurus Armas has been awarded a contract to supply 12,412 5.56mm model T4 automatic rifles to the Philippine Army. The offer of the Brazilian company amounts to 590.78 dollars for each weapon, for which the total value of the sale amounts to 7.3 million dollars.

This is the second important contract that Taurus Armas has closed with the Philippine authorities, after the success of the company in selling more than 20,000 units of pistols and submachine guns to the police forces of the Philippines, a country in whose civil arms market the brand Brazilian represents one of the three main imports.
