Colombia Army has abandoned, at least temporarily, the process for the acquisition of 144 armored vehicles of the type 4×4 AFV Textron Marine & Land Systems (TM&LS) M1117 (locally known as Pegaso) second-hand.
The Army already had 5,178,068 dollars, in concept of additional resources, which were going to be used for the purchase of the cars from the United States Government, through the Excess Defense Articles (EDA) and Golden Sentry End modality. –
However, as a consequence of the impact of Covid-19, according to the Army, the development of the activities required to successfully complete this process was not possible, and resources were redistributed.
