Costa-Rica; US grants two patrol boats to the Coast Guard

The United States reinforced the Costa Rican National Coast Guard with boats and the construction of training and maintenance facilities for an investment value of almost four million dollars. The donation consists of two new Tampa Yacht Tempest 44-FCI interceptor boats and two vessels from Colombian shipbuilder Eduardoño, which were repaired, all for a value of $ 2.3 million. In addition, the United States will provide the Costa Rican Coast Guard with a new training and maintenance center in Puerto Caldera, in the Puntarenas province, in the Pacific of Costa Rica.
