Luis Robinson, new Chief of the General Staff of the Mexican Navy

Admiral Luis Javier Robinson Portillo Villanueva has assumed as the new Chief of the General Staff of the Navy, replacing Admiral Luis Orozco Inclán, who is retiring after four decades of service and in compliance with the rotation that must be met in the Mexican Navy.

Robinson, originally from the state of Colima, is a graduate of the Heroic Naval Military School of the Marine Corps career; he later studied the specialty of Naval Aviator Fixed Wing Pilot, at the Naval Aviation School. He has completed several postgraduate studies and courses at the Center for Naval Superior Studies, among which are: Naval Command, Naval General Staff and the Master’s in National Security.
