The Colombian Army (EJC), through its Air Assault Aviation Division (Davaa), has received five aircraft of the Bell UH-1H helicopters from US. The Huey’s served in the Pakistani Army Aviation Corps.
The five helicopters were donated to Colombia by the United States, to be deployed by Davaa in support of the anti-narcotics operations of the Brigade Against Drug Trafficking.
Two of these helicopters are equipped as Medevac and, presuming a considerable tour of their engines and cell, would not merit being subjected to an update or modernization process to the Huey-II standard.
