Canada; Army orders 39 additional ACSV 8×8 armored vehicles  

According to information published by the Canada National Defense Department, the Canadian Department of National Defense has ordered 39 additional ACSV Armored Combat Support Vehicles to replace armored vehicles it donated to Ukraine earlier this year.

During the NATO leaders summit that was held in Madrid from 29 to 30 June 2022, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada will deliver 39 8×8 Armored Combat Support Vehicles (ACSVs).

In September 2019, Canada announced a contract with General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada for the acquisition of 360 Armored Combat Support Vehicles (ACSV). The vehicle is an 8×8 armored vehicle which is based on the LAV 6.0 and will replace the current Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) II Bison and M113 Tracked LAV fleets in service with the Canadian army. The new vehicles will be supplied in eight variants including APC (Armored Personnel Carrier), ambulance, command post, electronic warfare, engineer, cargo, maintenance and recovery, and mobile repair.
