Dominican Republic; Air Force commissions Italian TP-75 reconnaissance plane

The aircraft, which will be assembled in the country, is the experimental military version of the Tucano-R of the Italian company Flying Legend.

The Dominican Air Force(FAD) reported that it will assemble, in its facilities, the single-engine Dulus TP-75 aircraft. Although the original model on which it is based was not indicated, from the published images it can be specified that it is the experimental military version of the Tucano Replica sports plane, product of the Italian firm Flying Legend.

The aircraft, sporting the FAD paint scheme, made a demonstration flight, on February 17, at the San Isidro Air Base, under the command of a pilot of the manufacturer and carrying on board the general commander of the air component, Major General Carlos Febrillet Rodríguez.

According to official information, the name assigned to the Dominican model is Dulus, which means “cigua… palm tree”, and bears the identification TP-75. For the rest, the flight demonstration was part of the events scheduled to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Dominican Air Force.
