The General Command of the Peruvian Navy approved last March the second change to its Annual Contracting Plan (PAC) for fiscal year 2023, through Resolution of the General Command of the Navy No. 0191-23-Comgemar dated March 31, 2023. It highlights the shipbuilding projects that the Peruvian Navy undertakes in partnership with SIMA Peru. The PAC contains the requirements of the different executing subunits of the Peruvian armed institute, registered in the Navy Procurement and Contracting System (Siacomar).
The plan envisages, in particular, the construction of an Ocean Patrol Vessel, a project that has been allocated $166,203,639 at the prevailing exchange rate against the Solar; the construction of two PGCP-50 Maritime Patrol Boats with a budget of some $52,757,248.61; and the construction of two Cabotage Vessels, with an allocation of $39,288,831.
