The Army of the Czech Republic recommended to the contracting authority, which is the Armaments and Acquisitions Section of the Ministry of Defense, to cancel the procurement procedure for the “Light Assault Vehicle” public contract.

The main reason for the recommendation to cancel the purchase of 159 light assault vehicles was a significant increase in the price compared to the planned funds.
Another reason was changes in the army’s operational requirements related to the current development of the security environment.
The Ministry of Defense proceeded to cancel the procurement procedure after finding that during the procurement procedure there were reasons worthy of special consideration, for which the contracting authority cannot be required to continue the procurement procedure, regardless of whether these reasons were caused by the contracting authority or not, in accordance with with the law.
Based on current knowledge, the Army of the Czech Republic will prepare a new public order specification for the future procurement of light attack vehicles in a configuration with weapon systems.
