According to Méta Défense on September 14, 2023, Germany is set to acquire five Israeli PULS (Precise and Universal Launching System) artillery rocket system units. These will replace the five M270 MARS 2 rocket launchers previously transferred by the Bundeswehr to Ukraine. This decision follows the Netherlands Army’s purchase of 20 PULS systems in May 2023, and Germany’s acquisition of the five PULS rocket systems will be facilitated through the Dutch agreement.
The Dutch agreement involves the delivery of 20 PULS artillery rocket systems integrated into the COMMIT truck platform, as previously chosen by the Defense Material Organization (DMO). It also covers rockets and missiles with different ranges, as well as training and support services.
The PULS (Precision Fires Launcher System), developed by Elbit Systems, is a mobile artillery rocket system designed to meet the requirements of modern warfare. This system offers precise and flexible rocket and missile launching capabilities, which could potentially benefit contemporary military operations.
At the core of the PULS system is its precision in firing, with an effective range of up to 300 kilometers. This extended range enables the system to engage targets with accuracy, even at considerable distances.
