The 2025 Budget Bill, currently being processed in the National Congress, allocates an estimated total amount of 6 million dollars to the Carabineros de Chile for the acquisition of 10,583 9×19 mm caliber pistols.
According to the presentation made by the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security in the Fourth Joint Subcommittee on Budgets, the acquisition of the weapons is part of the equipment initiatives for the new institutional uniform year 2025 contemplated in subtitle 22.15 Police Material for a total figure of 55.8 million dollars.
