The Argentine Air Force received its second Embraer ERJ 140 LR (Long Range). The aircraft, acquired in November 2023, arrived at the Aeroparque Military Airport (AMA) located at the Jorge Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires.
This is a bidding process awarded to the North American company Regional One Inc. For a total of 6,856,200 dollars for two units. In addition, the force is making progress in the process for the purchase of two more examples.
The aircraft, identified with the registration T-96 and baptized as Paloma Gaucha, in homage to the aviator Carola Lorenzini, joins the II Squadron of the I Air Brigade, based in El Palomar.
The Embraer ERJ-140LR seeks to enhance the medium-range tactical mobility capability of the Argentine Armed Forces, and strengthen connectivity and air transport in both military operations and civil protection, community support and humanitarian aid missions.
