Argentina has signed a letter of intent for the possible purchase of Airbus H215M helicopters, within the framework of the Paris Air Show. According to French media, the French Minister of Defense, Sébastien Lecornu, met with the Chief of Staff of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier General Xavier Julián Isaac, to advance in the process of acquiring the Airbus H215M destined for the Argentine Army (EA).
Last June it was announced that Argentina would be interested in four Boeing CH-47 Chinook heavy helicopters through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, although this would not have prospered due to the lack of availability of the CH-47. The units would have been destined for the Army Aviation Command (1st and 3rd units) and for the Air Force (2nd and 4th units).
