Argentina; MoD establishes Joint Maritime Command

Argentinian MoD ordered the creation of the Joint Maritime Command (CCM), subordinated to the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces.

The resolution establishes the mission of the CCM to conduct surveillance and control operations in maritime and fluvial spaces on a permanent basis in order to contribute to the preservation of the vital interests of the country and to coordinate the different surveillance and control activities of maritime spaces. thus giving greater efficiency to the National State in this purpose.

For the operation of the CCM, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force will make available to the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces the human and material resources that are required, both naval, air-naval and aerospace means.

The CCM will be in charge of the elaboration of contributing tactical plans for the surveillance and control of the maritime and fluvial spaces; the design and development of a system that allows centralized integration and processing of information. In turn, it may intervene in the development of joint military doctrine related to the surveillance and control of maritime and fluvial spaces and the development of the rules of behavior for this type of operations.
