The Almirante Storni shipyard of the Argentine Naval and Industrial Complex (Cinar), announced the reactivation and enhancement of its capabilities. The shipyard was idle, without projects and without production for years.
This reactivation, with the help of the National Defense Fund (Fondef), would allow the resumption of projects such as the hydrographic vessel Swath and the Schooner Santa María de los Buenos Ayres. In addition, the construction of vessels for fishing companies, tugboats for the Armed Forces is planned.
Likewise, the Engineering and Construction Directorate was created, which will be made up of the Projects, Engineering, Technical and Operations managements that aims to give Cinar a new dynamism.
