The Australian Air Force (RAAF) has just incorporated three new transportable air traffic management and control systems from Spain’s Indra that will reinforce its capacity for rapid deployment and airspace management anywhere in the world.

Indra’s systems will make it possible to manage approach and en-route air traffic, explains the Spanish company. The delivery, as published by Infodefensa.com, came a few weeks ago. Now the company has released the details of this contract. Two of the systems have two operator positions each and are designed for rapid deployment by air, land or sea in short-duration operations, both in Defense and in humanitarian aid or disaster relief operations.

The two systems consist of a deployable and transportable medium-range 3D radar from Indra’s Lanza family of radars, fully integrated into a mobile Area Control Center (ACC). The ACC is equipped with the air control system of the company Indra Air Automation, one of the most robust and proven that exist and that meets the most demanding requirements of the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO) and other air navigation organizations such as Eurocontrol.
