Bolivia; New Army commander appointed

Brigadier General Hugo Eduardo Arandia López was appointed accidental general commander of the Bolivian Army , replacing Major General Miguel Ángel Del Castillo Quiroga , who had held the position since December 2020.

General Arandia López was positioned, on August 4, by President Luis Arce Catacora , while the act of recognition took place, on the 7th, in a ceremony held at the ‘Coronel Gualberto Villarroel López’ Military College , and the which was headed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces , Air Force General César Moisés Vallejos Rocha. It should be noted that Arandia López is the third general commander of the Army appointed by Arce Catacora since he became president of the State, in November 2020.
