The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) made official, on the penultimate day of 2021, the partnership with the company AEL Sistemas,Brazilian subsidiary of the Israeli Elbit Systems, for the acquisition of two remotely piloted aircraft (ARP) RQ-900 Hermes. The contract, signed by the Commander of Aerospace Operations and Enlistment, Air Brigadier Sergio Roberto de Almeida,and by the President of AEL Sistemas, Gal Lazar, aims to expand the fleet of RQ-900 aircraft by increasing the operational capacity of the FAB, especially in the tasks of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, where it already operates, even in conjunction with other government forces and institutions.
