The Manufacturing Directorate (DF) of the Brazilian Army (EB) carried out the integration and engineering tests of the Iveco LMV-BR vehicle with the Ares Remax gyro-stabilized remote control weapons station.
These tests are part of the homologation campaign for the multitasking armored vehicle, Leve de Rodas (VBMT-LR), after the acquisition of the first batch of Iveco LMV vehicles, within the Strategic Program of the Guaraní Army (PEE), Vehicle Project subprogramme 4 × 4.
Throughout the year, other tests will also be conducted to ensure vehicle integration with other weapons and command and control (C2) systems defined by EB.
Deliveries of the first Iveco LMV 4 × 4 VBMT-LR are slated to begin in 2021.
