Colombia has received a third batch consisting of 20 units of vehicles of the 4×4 AFV type Textron Marine & Land Systems (TM&LS) M1117, locally called Pegaso, of a total of 145 acquired second-hand, through the Excess Defense Articles (EDA) and Golden Sentry End-Use Monitoring (EUM) modality. ). The armored vehicles disembarked this week in the port of Santa Marta, the same as the 66 received between 2021 and 2022.
In January 2021, through commitment number 32821 and under the figure of direct contracting, the Army Command signed the purchase contract for approximate values of 3.9 million dollars. The purpose of this contract was the payment of a first amendment for the transfer of the first 86 ASV-APC units, destined for the Colombian Army, which include support services, acquisition of machinery, cargo transport services and maintenance, repair and installation services for the total of incorporated tanks, being to approve the second amendment -for 59 units- to complete the 145 vehicles.
