The Colombian Marine Corps Command, has expressed interest in the General Dynamics Land Systems Lav-25 amphibious 8×8 vehicle, in use by the U.S. Infantry Corps.
The interest was expressed in two meetings held, in November 2021, between naval authorities of both countries, being expressed the Colombian intention to strengthen the mobility capabilities of its Marine Corps by providing it with a combat vehicle and armored personnel carrier with amphibious capabilities.
Donation Agreement
The Colombian intention would be to be able to obtain a batch of these armored vehicles, through a donation agreement, within the framework of the excellent relations that both institutions maintain in defense and hemispheric security, supporting this request, in the need to provide its Infantry with deterrent capabilities -armored and heavy artillery.
