The President of Colombia, Iván Duque, has appointed Diego Molano as Minister of Defense of this nation, after the death of Carlos Holmes Trujillo due to Covid-19.
After taking office from him, in a ceremony held in the Casa de Nariño (presidential palace), Molano met with the leadership of the Armed Forces, to be informed of the security and public order situations.
Molano, graduated in business administration with a master’s degree in public administration, has more than 25 years of professional experience, having been director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency, director of the Presidential Agency for Social Action and International Cooperation, director of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare, director of Social Action and councilor of Bogotá, among his main public positions.
