The Colombian National Police (PNC) has acquired 735 new German rifles of the Sig Sauer Sig-516 type of 5.56×45 millimeters, as well as a significant batch of spare parts.
According to Alex Carrillo, technical and financial specialist in this type of process, the contract between the Police and the company Sig Sauer INC indicates the acquisition of war material for a value of 1,888,950 dollars for the rifles.
It should be noted that the PNC uses a small number of these rifles, particularly in special units of this institution, such as GOES, Copes, Gaula and Emcar.
