Costa Rica; CRASS plans buy of TP-75 Dulus patrol aircraft

The director general of the Air Surveillance Service of the Ministry of Public Security of Costa Rica, Javier Moreira, traveled to the Dominican Republic to discuss the possible acquisition of the TP-75 Dulus training and patrol aircraft, which is assembled at the facilities of the Caribbean country’s Air Force.

Moreira, accompanied by the consul general of his country in Santo Domingo, David Reuben Jr., was received by the commander general of the Air Force of the Dominican Republic, Major General Carlos R. Febrillet Rodríguez, at the San Isidro Air Base. During his visit to the military installation, the Costa Rican official was able to learn about the characteristics and performance of the aircraft.

It should be noted that Costa Rica is at least the third American country that has so far shown interest in the TP-75 Dulus. As reported by Infodefensa.com, last April, a unit returning to Dominican Republic after having participated in the International Air and Space Fair 2024 (Fidae 2024) stopped in La Asunción to carry out a demonstration at the request of the Paraguayan Air Force.

The following month, a Dulus was sent to Guyana to be evaluated by the Defence Force of that country, a visit that was reciprocated, the following July, by a Guyanese military delegation that traveled to the Dominican Republic to discuss the negotiation process to acquire the aircraft.
