Ecuador; Air Force inducts 3 last H145M helicopters

According to Spain’s Infodefensa, the Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE) has received its remaining three units of Airbus Helicopters H145M. Last April, Ecuador received the first three aircraft that are already fully operational.

The FAE acquired a total of six H145M helicopters from Airbus, integrated into Combat Wing No. 22 –based in Guayaquil-, in a contract that included the training and training of 12 pilots and 15 technicians from the force.

The H145M is a twin-engine helicopter (Safran Arriel 2E turboshaft), with a crew of two men and with the capacity to transport up to ten more, at maximum speeds of 240 kilometers per hour, with a range of more than 600 kilometers, with a maximum takeoff weight of up to 3,800 kilograms (1,905 kg payload) and a flight time of up to 212 minutes.

Considered as the reference in its civil version for law enforcement organizations and military services, the H145 is in service with the US Army, which operates its UH-72A Lakota version, and since recently the Equatorian Air Force.
