Ecuador; Naval Aviation inducts two new helicopters

The Ecuadorian Navy (ARE) has officially incorporated two new helicopters of the Bell Helicopter (Textron Company) 407 and 430 types, which will be deployed by its Naval Aviation. The aircraft will begin to be used in surveillance, intelligence and coastal reconnaissance operations, particularly in the island region and the northern border, where the Armed Forces of this nation constantly fight against transnational multi crime.

With the acquisition of the Bell, naval aviation increases its rotary wing means to a total of nine units, to which are added six fixed-wing aircraft, with which aeromaritime exploration missions are carried out.

It should be noted that the Bell 430 has the capacity to transport up to nine passengers or two stretchers, with their respective medical support teams, so presumably it will also be used in the development of search, rescue and evacuation operations CSAR (Combat Search And Rescue).
