According to information published by the “Tactical Report” website on March 13, 2023, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense would be in talks with the Company MBDA for the procurement of the Common Anti-Air Modular Missile (CAMM) air defense missile system.
The CAMM-based Land Ceptor air defense system is already in service with the British army since 2018.The system was procured under a contract awarded to MBDA in 2014, which covered the development, production, and integration of the Land Ceptor system into the Army’s air defense structure.
CAMM (Common Anti-Air Modular Missile) is a family of air defense missiles developed by MBDA, a European missile manufacturer. The CAMM system is designed to provide air defense against a wide range of airborne threats, including aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and cruise missiles.
