The Salvadoran Air Force (FAS) will receive the largest donation of helicopters from the United States since the internal war (1980-1992).
The fleet of 12 MD 530F, apparently all new units from the MD Helicopters plant in Mesa, Arizona, since neither the Ministry of Defense of El Salvador nor the U.S. Embassy confirmed or denied the information.
