Within the Army’s Integrated System of the Foot Combatant (Siscap) program, Thales has signed a contract for which it will supply eight Minie-D/IR glasses. These are in addition to the six that have already been delivered for installation in the 8×8 Dragon vehicles of the Spanish Army.

The Minie-D / IR have the ability to merge light and infrared intensified image, something that will be of great support in night operations due to the great vision capacity they offer with low luminosity. The glasses do not hinder the mobility of soldiers due to their lightness, as they weigh less than 500 grams. These systems offer a viewing angle of 51 degrees.
