Greece expands its Rafale fighter order to 24 units
The Greek government has announced that it will buy another six Rafale fighter jets from France. These units were included as an option in the initial order for 12 second-hand aircraft of the same model and another six of new invoice, built by Dassault Aviation ,
which Athens formalized last year in an operation quantified at 2,500 million euros, including different types of missiles to equip them ( Meteor , Mica and Scalp ) . Thus, the final order for Rafale by its first European export customer totals 24 units.
Accordingly, the Greek Air Force will have a full squad of combat aircraft of this model, which will operate from the Tanagra air base, where the first unit arrived last July .
