Hungary to Produce Lynx IFVs With Rheinmetall for €2B
Hungary will set up a joint venture with German Rheinmetall to produce Lynx infantry fighting vehicles for €2 billion under an agreement inked on August 17.
The move was announced by Hungary’s Secretariat of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology and the Commissioner for Defence Development. A production facility will be established in Hungary to manufacture Lynx IFVs.
Hungary is the first NATO and EU member state to choose the Düsseldorf-based Group’s innovative new IFV.
