The Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has carried out two test flights of very short-range air defence system (VSHORADS) missiles.
The VSHORADS missile was fired from a ground-based portable launcher at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, off the coast of the Odisha state.
In a statement, the Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) said: “Both the flight tests have completely met the mission objectives.”
The successful tests also validated the efficiency of new technologies integrated with the missile, including the miniaturized reaction control system and integrated avionics.
A portable air defense system, VSHORADS is an indigenous product.
