Chinese CASC developed the CH-5 UCAV, and recent Chinese social media posts strongly suggest that Iraq is the platform’s first buyer. The CH-5, unveiled at the Zhuhai Air Show in 2016, is 11.3m long and has a 21m wingspan. It can stay in the air for 40+h, has a range of 2,000km and can carry a 1.2t payload. However, its speed and flight ceiling are considerably poorer than those of the MQ-9 Reaper or Heron TP.
