The Jamaican Coast Guard officially commissioned the new HMJS Nanny of in a ceremony held on July 29.
The vessels will be used as Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV).
The FCS 5009 type, of steel hull, measures 53.2 meters in length and has a 240 m2 tank. It has the capacity to carry up to 80 people, in addition to the crew. In addition, it can be equipped with the equipment required for rescue operations: Fi-Fi 1, fast boat in the tank, hospital, decompression tank, crane, oil spill response equipment, among others.
