Kuwait; Army orders Spanish made night vision systems

NightVision Lasers Spain (NVLS) has signed a contract to supply its systems to the Kuwait National Guard (KNG). Specifically, the Spanish company will equip the Kuwaiti guard with its advanced night vision monoculars. With this contract, NVLS enters the Middle East market as one step in the expansion plan that, during 2023, has led it to sell its products in Belgium, Chile, South Korea, Croatia, Denmark, Slovenia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Poland, Sweden and Thailand. With these additions, the company now provides its advanced night vision solutions to more than 20 countries.

As explained by the company, “the decision to acquire NVLS’ advanced night vision monoculars has been based on the value for money of the product, designed and manufactured by the company in its industrial facilities in Alcobendas (Madrid)”. The company added that, in the final decision, “the field tests, in which the NVLS product has beaten all the competitors participating in the contest, and the immersion tests, which have led to the elimination of the competitors, have been decisive.”

NVLS has explained that the most relevant features of its systems are “excellent optical performance, robust metal alloy construction, extreme compactness and low weight, offer an optimal solution for the operator”.
