The government’s goal remains to foster an environment conducive to the development of the defense industry while ensuring transparency and accountability in all commitments.

Additionally, Armonaite introduced legislative amendments aimed at streamlining the process for major Western arms and munitions producers, including Rheinmetall, to establish production facilities in Lithuania. These proposed amendments reflect Lithuania’s proactive stance to attract foreign investments and foster a regulatory environment favorable to the expansion of the defense industry.

Parallel to the ongoing negotiations with the German company, Lithuania is expanding its discussions with defense industry firms from the United States, France, and other countries.
