The Federal Government of Mexico presented an increase of 19.7 percent to the Secretariat of National Defense, which would, 5,359 million US dollars, if the proposal is approved by the legislature.
If the increase is accepted, most of the budget would be allocated to the creation of 14,400 new positions in the militia to replace those that were destined to strengthen the National Guard (1,040 million pesos), in addition to the construction of the Felipe International Airport. Angeles (21,314 million pesos) and support for security in the country (4,103 million pesos).
