Information published by the United States International Trade Administration, Morocco confirms the purchase of Patriot air defense missile systems from the United States.
The Patriot is one of the most popular air defense missile systems in service in the world. The MIM-104 Patriot is a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system which is manufactured by the U.S. defense company Raytheon. Raytheon Missiles & Defense has built more than 240 Patriot fire units and delivered them to customers in 17 nations.
