Russia has received a variety of weapons from Iran for use in the Ukraine War. Among the material received, most of it smuggled from Iraq, two Brazilian-designed Astros II artillery systems stand out, according to The Guardian.
The weapons, explains the British media, were originally -and legally- in the possession of the Popular Mobilization Forces of Iraq (Ḥashd al-Shaabi), Shiite paramilitary militias supported by Iran, in whose hands the weapons that arrived in the country over the over the last few decades, marked by the presence of Western troops in Iraqi territory.
