Krishna Mathoera has been appointed Minister of Defense of Suriname, being the first woman to hold that position in the South American country.
Krishna Mathoera, 57, served 34 years in the Suriname Police and, in the exercise of her police career, Suriname’s representative in the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission.
