UK Defense Ministry has decided to order the US Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) instead ofdomestic MBDA’s Brimstone for its new AH-64E Apache attack helicopter fleet.
Defense officials say the decision was made because the U.S. weapon, which will replace the Hellfire currently in use, already was integrated on the Apache.
The move appears to be a major setback for the UK-developed Brimstone missile.
