According to information published by the United States Department of Defense on October 4, 2022, the United States will deliver to Ukraine 200 MaxxPro MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles which is part of a new $625 million military aid package.
On October 4, 2022, the U.S. Department of Defense announced an additional $625 million in security assistance headed to Ukraine as part of the 22nd round of presidential drawdown authority. The equipment in the new package is specifically tailored to what Ukraine needs in the short term, and Ukraine continues to use what has been provided by the United States to significant effect, the deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia said.
On August 19, 2022, the United States announced the delivery of the first batch of 40 MaxxPo MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles to Ukraine, which are now used by the Ukrainian armed forces. It was the first combat vehicle provided by the United States to Ukraine since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
