A broad majority in the Folketing supports a large donation package for DKK 1.7 billion kroner to Ukraine. The package consists of vehicles, materiel, air defense and ammunition, aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s ability to carry out an offensive in the coming months.
Mine clearance vehicles, mine clearance hoses, ammunition, field bridges as well as financial contribution to air defense procurement. This is, among other things, the content of the new Danish donation package, which the Foreign Policy Council (UPN) has given its support to today.
Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine requires Denmark to continue its support and the government has therefore, with broad support from the Danish Parliament, put together another military donation package for Ukraine. The donation package is the largest from Denmark so far and is to support the impending Ukrainian offensive. The donation package is subject to grant authorization from the Finance Committee.
In recent years, Denmark has donated weapons and equipment to Ukraine for approx. 9.5 billion kroner – donations that have contributed to Ukraine’s freedom struggle.
