The Swedish Armed Forces, or Försvarsmakten, have successfully completed a training program for Ukrainian soldiers in the use of the Stridsfordon 90 (CV90) CV9040 IFV Infantry Fighting Vehicles, as officially announced by the press service of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Sweden on June 8, 2023.
This announcement comes as part of an ongoing commitment from the Swedish Armed Forces to provide support and military training to their Ukrainian counterparts. The training focused on the operation and use of the CV90, a state-of-the-art infantry fighting vehicle produced in Sweden.
In an article published by the Swedish Armed Forces, they used the significant headline: “Ukrainian soldiers are ready for the front”. This statement emphasizes the successful conclusion of the training program and the readiness of the Ukrainian military personnel to operate the CV90 Infantry Fighting Vehicles on the front line. The clear intention is to ensure that the Ukrainian soldiers are well-prepared and equipped for any potential conflict situations.
It is yet another example of the ongoing international cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden, as both countries continue to deepen their ties in the sphere of defense and military preparedness.
