Ukraine; US to supply Oshkosh FMTV Trucks to the army

The U.S. Department of Defense on July 31 announced that Oshkosh Defense was awarded a $201,519,794 modification to contract W56HZV-23-F-0182 for the Family of Medium Trucks. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with an estimated completion date of July 31, 2025. Fiscal 2023 other procurement, Army funds; and Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative funds in the amount of $201,519,794 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, is the contracting activity.

The Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) is a series of military vehicles that are based on a common chassis and vary by payload and mission requirements. The FMTV is derived from the Austrian Steyr 12M18 truck but substantially modified to meet United States Army requirements, these including a minimum 50 percent U.S. content.
