The National Police of Uruguay is immersed in the process of buying a Robinson R66 Turbine helicopter for which they offer, among other alternatives, the delivery of an aircraft model R44 Raven II of the same manufacturer.
The acquisition, made through the modality of direct purchase by exception, is for a new or used unit, with a minimum of 900 remaining flight hours, cell life, engine and rotor blades until 2025, 800 remaining turbine cycles and equipped with at least VHF, GPS,transponder, artificial horizon, turn indicator and compass.
Additionally, it is requested that a set of tow wheels, cab cover hood, command set for co-pilot, blade moorings and five-point harness for the front seats be delivered.
IWI Tavor X95 Rifles
The military police in charge of special operations, hostage rescue and fight against organized crime, received a batch of rifles of Israeli origin IWI Tavor X95,to replace part of its weapons. In the demonstration, 9mm caliber rifles were observed, although previously 5.56mm caliber had also been observed.
