The units, destined for the Home Army, will be assigned to an Immediate Reaction Force at the service of the UN
13 of the 14 MRAP Osprea Mamba Mk7 vehicles donated by the United States and destined for the National Army arrived in Uruguay. The additional unit, a recuperate, will arrive next October.
The Mamba will be assigned to an Immediate Reaction Force (IRF), at the service of the United Nations (UN), which will be the spearhead for a new deployment of the organization anywhere in the world.
Some of the units will be equipped with radio and cellular signal jamming systems, as additional protection against improvised explosive devices.
With the arrival of these vehicles, the provision of equipment necessary for the activation of the aforementioned FRI is complete, which has already passed the first inspection and which, after passing the second and last inspection, would be ready to be deployed immediately.
